www.philotelismos.gr is the e-shop for the online display and distribution of products of the Greek societe anonyme [plc] named "Hellenic Post S.A.", (hereinafter referred to as ELTA) having its registered office in Greece, in the city of Athens (Taxpayer Identification Number: 094026421 / Tax Office for the Taxation of Industrial Societes Anonymes of Athens). Before accessing the e-shop and browsing through our webpage, please consult the following terms and conditions, which apply particularly to the use of the ELTA e-shop, contained in the website www.philotelismos.gr

Please make sure that you agree to the following terms and conditions, because any further use of and browsing through the www.philotelismos.gr webpage, shall be deemed as express and unreserved approval of and agreement to these terms and conditions.

1. Terms

ELTA reserves the right to unilaterally amend or renew the terms and conditions governing the transactions executed via the e-shop according to its needs and fair trade practices. ELTA undertakes the obligation to notify the users of any amendments, as well as any change, via this e-shop webpage. It is clarified, that any change to the terms shall not affect orders that have already been placed.

2. Information & Products on offer

The subscriber-user of the web pages and services of the elta-net.gr website (hereinafter: elta-net.gr or the Network) agrees to and accepts the following terms of use, all of which are considered as material and which apply to its web pages, i.e. without limitation to their Content at times, including graphics, images, pictures and files contained in such web pages:

www.philotelismos.gr is a website on the Internet (World Wide Web). Certain web pages are only accessible to members, who have obtained a personal subscriber-user password. Furthermore, www.philotelismos.gr is an interactive bundle providing online data and services to the subscribers-users. www.philotelismos.gr enables the subscribers/users/visitors to buy products (E-Commerce, B2B & B2C).

SUBSCRIBER: Means any individual or entity who has obtained one or more passwords to www.philotelismos.gr and is responsible for all passwords and the use of the www.philotelismos.gr website by any user.

USER: means the individual using one or more passwords to www.philotelismos.gr of a subscriber, regardless whether the subscriber is aware of such use or not. The subscriber and the user may, however, be the same person.

VISITOR: Means the individual visiting web pages of the www.philotelismos.gr website, which are accessible without a password.

PASSWORD: Means the password composed by numbers and/or letters belonging to a subscriber of the www.philotelismos.gr website and enabling access to all offered services. One subscriber may own more than 1 passwords.

Passwords. The Subscriber is prohibited from assigning, in whole or in part, the right to use the www.philotelismos.gr website. Passwords of each subscriber are personal and not transferable. It is prohibited to grant the use or to disclose passwords to any third party in any way. Access to www.philotelismos.gr is permitted by exception to the employees and associates of a subscriber entity, provided that the exact number and data of its employees, who shall use the site, has been indicated.

Liability of the Subscriber/User/Visitor. The Subscriber/User/Visitor of the web pages and services of the www.philotelismos.gr Network assumes liability for any damage caused to the Network by misuse or the unauthorized use of the respective services. In particular, the Subscriber is responsible in any case to protect the secrecy of all passwords registered under his/her name. Therefore, the Subscriber declares and warrants, that he/she shall undertake liability towards www.philotelismos.gr for any damage which may be caused to the Network by misuse or unauthorized –constituting a breach of contract or tort – use of the passwords, regardless of the identity of the user and regardless of whether the user has been registered for use of the password by the Subscriber to www.philotelismos.gr or not. Furthermore, the Subscriber agrees and accepts that the use of his/her password or passwords at any time and hence his/her access to and use of www.philotelismos.gr shall be deemed, without any disproof being allowed, as being made by him/herself, and in case of an entity, by its legal representative.

3. Disclaimer of Liability

Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall the Network be liable for any damage of any form whatsoever incurred by the Subscriber/User/Visitor to the pages, services, options and content of www.philotelismos.gr which he/she uses at his/her own initiative, being aware of the terms hereunder. The content of www.philotelismos.gr is provided "exactly as is" without any warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied in any way whatsoever. www.philotelismos.gr disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and condition for a particular purpose. www.philotelismos.gr declares that it will make all reasonable efforts thereto, but makes no warranties, that the pages, services, options and content shall be provided without interruptions and errors and that errors will be corrected. Furthermore, www.philotelismos.gr makes no warranties that this or any affiliate site or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other damaging components. www.philotelismos.gr makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness or availability of the content, pages, services, options or their results. The costs for any corrections or assistance shall be borne in all cases by the Subscriber/User/Visitor and not by www.philotelismos.gr.

The content and information included in www.philotelismos.gr may not be construed in any case as professional advice or as subject to a "client" relationship between the Subscriber and www.philotelismos.gr or as a suggestion to take or not take any particular action. The content and information included in www.philotelismos.gr in particular, may not be construed as a warranty for the increase of the volume of sales or turnover of the Subscriber/User/Visitor. www.philotelismos.gr undertakes the collection, processing and distribution of its content, without making any warranties in any case whatsoever regarding the accuracy, completeness, sufficiency and suitability in general thereof and the lack of any errors, especially due to its particularly large volume or the participation of third parties (individuals or entities) in its original production and collection. Therefore, the Subscribers/Users/Visitors of the Network, using its services on their own initiative, undertake the respective responsibility to crosscheck the information provided with their sources. www.philotelismos.gr reserves in any case the right to monitor, correct or refuse to publish material sent by the Subscribers/Users/Visitors on its web pages.

Links to other sites. www.philotelismos.gr does not control the availability, content, privacy policy, quality and completeness of the services of other websites and pages, to which it refers through links, hyperlinks or advertising banners. Therefore, for any problem occurring during the visit/use of these sites, one should contact the respective websites and pages, which are also responsible for the provision of their services, directly. The Network must not be deemed in any case to be endorsing or accepting the content or services of websites and pages to which it refers or is linked in any other way.

Links to www.philotelismos.gr. Links to www.philotelismos.gr are only permissible to its home page and not to pages (which may be) protected by passwords, unless expressly agreed otherwise between www.philotelismos.gr and the party providing the link. Furthermore, these links must be created only via hyperlinks and not via images.

ELTA cannot make any warranty regarding the availability of the products, but it warrants that the end users shall be promptly informed of their non-availability.

ELTA shall be liable only in case of willful misconduct or gross negligence, in case of a delay in the delivery of products ordered and for information given by it or services provided through its website.

ELTA’s e-shop shall not be liable for any technical problems that may occur when users try to access the website and during such use and are related to the operation or compatibility of their own infrastructure with the use of the website. Furthermore, ELTA shall not be liable for third party acts or omissions and especially non authorized interferences by third parties to products and/or services and/or information provided by it.

4. Intellectual property rights

www.philotelismos.gr webpage is the official website of ELTA. All content of the web pages uploaded by ELTA, including images, graphics, pictures, drawings, texts, offered services and products shall be intellectual property of ELTA and protected according to the applicable provisions of Greek law, European legislation and international conventions.

Any copying, analog/digital recording and mechanical reproduction, distribution, transfer, downloading, modification, resale, creation of derivative works or misleading the public regarding the actual provider of the Content of websites is prohibited. Any reproduction, reissue, downloading, notice, distribution or transmission or any other use of the Content in any way or by any means for commercial or other purposes shall only be allowed upon prior written approval by ELTA or any other beneficiary, according to the law, of the aforementioned intellectual property right.

Names, images, logos and distinctive signs (trademarks) representing ELTA and/or its e-shop and/or third parties engaged by them, as well as their products or services, are exclusive trademarks and distinctive signs of ELTA and/or www.philotelismos.gr and/or the aforementioned third parties and are protected by Greek, European community and international laws regarding trademarks and industrial and intellectual property and unfair competition.

In no case should their presentation and display on the web pages of www.philotelismos.gr be construed as transfer or granting of a license or right to use them.

5. User Obligations

Users of the www.philotelismos.gr webpage accept that they shall not use such page and the ELTA e-shop for the dispatch, publication, e-mail transmission or transmission in other ways of any Content that is unlawful, damaging, threatening, offensive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, infringing on the privacy of another person, biased, or expressing racial, ethnic or other discriminations, may harm minors in any way, may not be disclosed according to the law or contractual or management relationships (such as internal information, proprietary and confidential information acquired or disclosed within the framework of employment relationships or subject to confidentiality agreements), infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights of third parties, may contain software viruses or any other codes, files or programs, designed to interrupt, damage, destroy or obstruct the operation of any computer software or hardware, infringes, whether deliberately or not, on applicable Greek or European legislation and its provisions, may harass third parties or any content used for collection or storage of personal data of the users in any way.

6. Security

ELTA acknowledges the importance of the issue of the security of your Personal Data, as well as of your electronic transactions and takes all measures necessary, using the latest and most advanced methods, in order to ensure the maximum level of security for your data and transactions. All information related to your personal data and transactions is secure and secret. Security of the ELTA e-shop is accomplished via the use of the following methods:

Customer Identification

Two codes are used for your identification are two: the user name and the Personal Secret Security Code (password), which provide you with secure personal data access every time you enter them.

You may change your Personal Secret Security Code (password) and your e-mail address as often as you wish. The only person with access to your personal data is yourself using the aforementioned codes and you are solely and exclusively responsible to maintain their secrecy and non-disclosure to third parties. In case of loss or disclosure of the password you must immediately notify us; otherwise the ELTA e-shop shall not be responsible for any use of the password by any unauthorized person. We recommend, for security reasons, that you change your password periodically and avoid using the same and easily traced codes (e.g. birthday). We also recommend using not only letters and numbers but also symbols when you create your password.

Controlled access (firewall)

Access to ELTA servers is controlled by a firewall, which allows the use of certain services by the customers/users, while at the same time prohibiting access to servers and databases containing secret company data and information.

Transactions Privacy

The observance of privacy should be taken for granted. The same basic principles governing transactions executed in the traditional way are also applicable to e-commerce. All information transmitted by the user/customer to ELTA is confidential and ELTA has applied all necessary measures in order for such information to be used only to the extent necessary for the provision of the services. These are some of the implemented measures:

Only authorized employees have access to your transaction information and only whenever necessary, e.g. in order to process your requests.

ELTA shall not disclose customer or transaction data unless authorized in writing by you to do so or in the case that such a disclosure is required under a court order or the decision of another public authority.

In the case that ELTA is using third parties for the support of its servers it shall ensure privacy protection.

You may request any data relating to you, as well as their correction if you can prove that an error has occurred.

For your own safety, you must also treat all information provided through the service as confidential and secret and not disclose any such information to third parties.

7. Personal Data Protection

When you visit the www.philotelismos.gr web pages you may be asked to give personal data (first name, last name, occupation, Taxpayer Identification Number and competent Tax Office, e-mail address, shipping address etc), usually in order to process your orders. Any personal data you give anywhere in the web pages and services of the www.philotelismos.gr websites, shall be kept solely for purposes relating to your transactions, communication with you, improvement of provided services and in order to secure the operation of the respective service and may not be used by any third party (save only by competent authorities whenever prescribed under law).

In any case, only certain ELTA employees have access to your personal data and the access of unauthorized persons to your personal data is prohibited. All reasonable measures for the security of your personal data have been taken. Your personal data may in exceptionally rare and special cases be disclosed also to businesses cooperating with ELTA, in order to support, promote and execute our transactions with you, but always under conditions which ensure that your personal data shall not be subject to any unlawful processing.

The user reserves the right to request information or object at any time to any further processing of his/her data, according to the legislation for the protection of personal data in force.

8. Purchase of Products

On the shelves of our e-shop you may find philatelic products and philatelic publications, corporate gifts, as well as unique signed creations.

In order to facilitate you search, we have divided our products into main categories. Each category has also a subcategories tree, appearing on the left sidebar of your display.

Our aim is that you shall be able to find the product you wish to order with the smallest possible number of clicks. If you are looking for a specific product, please use "search"; this will lead you to your chosen product directly.

ELTA will make all reasonable efforts to provide high quality services. However, it is impossible to secure that no errors in prices and secondary product features, no webpage operation breakdowns or "human" errors during updating/entering of the price of a product shall occur. For the safety and effectiveness of the purchases, if you detect that a product is offered at an unusual low or high price in comparison to its market value, before placing an order, please contact the Customer Service Department on the telephone numbers 210 3353680 - 687 – 685 – 682 – 626 – 692 or using the email form provided on the website.

Upon recording of your order you shall receive an automated email, which shall indicate the details of your order. After your order has been processed by the ELTA electronic purchases department, you shall receive a second, confirmatory email listing the products that will be shipped to you.

During the processing of your order you shall receive a series of automated emails, which shall inform you of the progress of your order. These emails shall refer to the following stages:

Confirmation of order: You shall be sent a confirmation email as soon as the order has been recorded by the system.

Invoice: The invoice for the order shall be dispatched with the products.

If any issue relating to your order occurs, you will be sent a relevant email. Otherwise we shall contact you using the telephone numbers you have provided during your registration or when placing your order on our site.

You may not choose not to receive such updates, the dispatch of which is a prerequisite for the correct execution of your order. Please note that these emails must be able to reach you and please keep them for the duration of our transaction. You are obliged, if you have not received the respective emails according to the general terms governing our transactions, to inform us thereof without delay.

9. Monitoring the Progress of an Order

You may monitor the progress of your order through www.philotelismos.gr by selecting "Orders History"

10. Withdrawal / Return – Replacement of Products

You are entitled to return the products you have bought and request their replacement:

a) in every case that due to a confirmed fault of ELTA other products or products materially different than those ordered were delivered to you

b) in all cases that the product has a defect or lacks the agreed qualities, and provided that (i) the manufacturer’s or importer’s guarantee does not prescribe otherwise and that the guarantee is applicable to the product, so that the terms of the guarantee apply or (ii) in case no guarantee exists as set out in (i), that the statutory period of application for the rights of the buyer has not expired or (iii), in case no guarantee exists as set out in (i) and the defect or the missing quality are not material.

You have the right to return the products you have purchased and request their replacement by another product or products up to the amount you have paid or by paying an additional cost if you so wish, within twenty (20) days of receipt of the product.

You have the right to return the products you have purchased and request the reimbursement of the amount you paid for them

a) in all cases that the product has a defect or lacks the agreed qualities and provided that (i) the manufacturer’s or importer’s guarantee does not prescribe otherwise and that the guarantee is applicable to the product, so that the terms of the guarantee apply or (ii) in case no guarantee exists as set out in (i), that the statutory period of application for the rights of the buyer has not expired or (iii) in case no guarantee exists as set out in (i) and the defect or the missing quality are not material and b) within 14 days of receipt of the product.

ELTA shall be liable for compensation in case of lack of an agreed quality or of occurrence of a defect, only if these are attributable to its responsibility, without being liable in cases of simple negligence.

Furthermore, in all cases, the product to be replaced-repaired must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt. In all aforementioned cases, the products to be replaced/repaired must be in the same condition as received by the customer, complete and without wear and their packaging must be such as usually accompanying the product and in good condition, along with all product accompaniment documents (e.g. delivery bill/invoice, retail sales receipt, etc). Before any return, we suggest that you contact the ELTA e-shop and arrange such a procedure. In any case, the return and replacement shall be possible under the following conditions:

1. Contact the E-shop by email or using the phone numbers 210 3353680 - 687 – 685 – 682 – 692 – 626 on the same or following working day

2. The product shall be accompanied by all necessary documents, concerning the transaction (e.g. delivery bill-invoice, retail sales receipt, etc)

11. Order Cancellation

An order may be canceled in the following cases: Before the conclusion of the placement of the order, during the electronic ordering procedure, you may click "back" and delete the quantities of products in your basket by using the "delete" button. If the electronic ordering process has been completed, but the product has not yet been dispatched , you may dial 210-3353687 and 210-3353692 and one of our associates shall undertake to cancel your order. After the receipt of the product, you may call us on 210-3353687 and 210-3353692 or contact us using the email form provided on the website, explaining why you wish to cancel your order. One of our associates will assist you immediately and will inform you of all available options. In case your order has been already invoiced and you wish to cancel it, please contact the Costumer Service Department on 210-3353687 and 210-3353692 and provide your order data. However, the order status shall not be changed on your account page.

12. Payment Methods

Payment by Credit Card:

ELTA e-shop accepts all credit cards, Visa, MasterCard and Euroline. Transactions via credit cards shall be redirected to Eurobank’s e-POS service and shall enjoy the security level of the bank service. Furthermore, no credit card data shall be stored on ELTA servers.

Collection on Delivery (COD):

Please pay the due amount to our company employee upon delivery of your order at your premises. COD applies to orders delivered in the following cities: Athens, Thessaloniki, Patra, Larisa, Herakleio, Crete (regardless of weight) and for the Rest of Greece if the package does not exceed 6kg.

Receipt and payment of your order at the nearest ELTA branch:

You may place your order on our e-shop and receive your product within 5 working days, at the latest, at an ELTA branch at a convenient location for you.

13. Differences between outlet prices and e-shop prices

The pricing policy for ELTA products is the same for all our product distribution channels: outlets, catalog, e-shop. However, at our e-shop and for selected products we have created so-called "offers", the price for which at the e-shop is different than respective price offered through other distribution channels and applies only to purchases made through the aforementioned e-shop and delivered to your premises. In every case, while we undertake every possible effort to ensure that the data and prices indicated in our e-shop are accurate, we cannot rule out the possibility of occurrence of typos or technical errors regarding product prices and features. Therefore, we suggest, also in cases of "offers", before payment and completion of the placement of your order, that you contact the Customer Service Department on 210-3353687 and 210-3353692 or using the email form provided on our website, in order to confirm such prices.

14. Order / Product Delivery / Shipping Costs

Completion of the Placement of an Order:

Upon placement of your order, the following message shall appear (example): "Thank You, Invoicing Completed! Your order code number is: ΧΧΧΧΧΧ."

Delivery dates and times:

Deliveries are made weekly from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 (in Athens, Piraeus. Patra, Thessaloniki, Herakleio and Rhodes). For the rest of Greece the delivery hours are from 09.00 to 14:00.

Products Receipt:

Place your order by 15:00 from Monday to Friday and ELTA shall ship your order within 5 working days to Mainland Greece and Crete (to the capital cities of the prefectures) and within 6 days to the islands, provided that the products you have ordered are available. The above period shall not apply during extreme weather conditions or strikes or in all cases of force majeure, which may affect delivery times. In such cases, ELTA shall deliver the product to the end user on the next working day.

Shipping Costs / Free Shipment:

For orders placed at our e-shop and delivered throughout Greece no shipping costs shall be charged.

Prices are not related to the volume and/or weight of the product.

15. Order Delay

Your order may be delayed for the following reasons:

The delivery of the product to us has been delayed by our supplier: In order to offer you very competitive prices we order our products from a large group of suppliers. In some cases, however, one of our orders may be “stuck” in customs or during its transportation, and therefore we shall be unable to have the product in our warehouses at the time we had expected. In such cases, we shall contact you to ask you if you would like us to deliver the order without this product or to suggest an alternative product. This item shall be sent to you immediately upon receipt of such item at our warehouses.

The product you ordered has already been withdrawn and is not available: In rare cases, the supplier of some of the products we display on our e-shop may suddenly and without prior notice inform us that it has abolished such products. In such cases, a company employee shall contact you to inform you of all alternative options.

During extreme weather conditions or strikes, as well as in all cases of force majeure which may affect the transportation and delivery of your order.

If it is impossible to contact you by telephone or email (in case any problem occurs in respect to your order, whether relating to the product or related to its payment), because e.g. the data you have entered have not been updated correctly.

16. Information emails (newsletters)

1. ELTA shall periodically send information emails.

2. ELTA shall not be responsible if newsletters are not delivered to their destination, although it has made every possible attempt to deliver them.

3. Newsletters may wind up in the spam folder, so please check regularly that they are not stored there.

4. Please add the ELTA email address used for sending the newsletters to your safe list.

5. If you no longer wish to receive information newsletters from ELTA, you may inform us thereof using the contact form provided on the website.

6. You shall receive information from ELTA only if you wish to and for as long as you wish. However, if you have placed an order with ELTA, using our site, we shall send you automated emails regarding the progress of your order. You may not choose not to receive such updates, the dispatch of which is a prerequisite for the correct execution of your order. Please ensure that these emails shall be able to reach you and please keep them throughout the duration of our transaction. You are obliged, if you have not received the respective emails in accordance to the general terms governing our transactions, to inform us thereof without delay.
